About My Website Barry's UTV Adventures provides private guided UTV tours of the Southern California deserts and mountains. My tours allow riders to experience these sites without the pressure of having to keep up with a large group or having to negotiate challenging terrain that may be above their skill level. I plan each route based on the location the clients want to explore and the skill level they have in driving a UTV or ATV. My goal is to introduce UTV riding to new riders whether they just bought their first side-by-side or are renting and would like someone to guide them on their adventure. I also specialize in showing more experienced riders areas and sights that they have not seen. I have many positive comments on my Testimonials page I am certified in Basic First And and CPR. I am also Bonded and Insured as a Guide and Tour Operator and Licensed by the State of California. In addition to the 5-8 hour guided tour, each client will receive access to a private section of this website that hosts a full 1 hour video of each days trip, access to the GPX file with all the routes traveled during their tour, a page that highlights the history associated with some of the sites and destinations visited during your private guided tour. I do not provide rental vehicles but can assist you in locating a UTV rental company that is close to the staging area of your private guided UTV tour. For multi-day tours, I can select a staging area that allows overnight camping and can also refer you to local RV rental businesses. I provide all clients with one portable VHF radio per vehicle so that the entire group can stay in contact during the tour. These radios are for use only during the tour and will be collected at the end of the day. I have a basic first aid kit and a two-way satellite communicator that will allow me to send and receive a text message or request help from local search and rescue personnel. I also carry enough water for the entire group along with 6 gallons of gasoline. Because these are full-day tours, I suggest clients bring along a lunch and snacks. You can get more information on these trips by clicking on the Private Guided Tours link in the menu above. About My Meetup Site I also have a meetup site (Valley Dirt Riders). This site is free and open to anyone who wants to join. I use this site to post updates to my Meetup rides and videos of our group adventures. In addition, I also post videos of my rides on my YouTube Channel. Private guided UTV tours will be posted as private videos and not viewable without the link. The Meetup rides are geared to riders that are at a minimum intermediate skill level. Those rides often traverse long sections of deep sand, rocky loose uphill climbs and downhill descents, rock crawling, dry lake beds, and off-camber sections. I advise those with skill levels lower than intermediate to consider booking a private guided UTV tour where I can evaluate your skills and help you learn the basics of off-roading. I will provide an honest assessment and let you know if I think you are ready to participate in the group Meetup rides. I also provide maps, GPS files, and other information to help you enjoy your off-road experience. If you have any questions about my adventures you can use the contact form to reach out. I don't sell anything on my Meetup site, I don't partner with vendors, I only post my rides in a hope that more people will enjoy the fun of OHV rides and be able to enjoy the great scenery. We are a pretty mellow group, but we know how to have fun. Pets and kids are welcome on the trail and in camp. Barry |
